一分銀 Ichibugin - Ichibu Silver Coin

天保8年(1837)から発行され、安政、慶応の江戸末期から明治元年(1868)にわたって広く流通した銀貨。四枚で小判一枚(一両)と換金。また、四朱で一分、二百五十文で一朱となる。当時の大工の日当がおよそ五百文/二朱だったので、一分は日当およそ二日分に相当する。

貨幣相場Minted from 1838 up to 1868, these silver coins were widely used. With four coins equal in value to one koban (one Ryo). Four Shu made one Bu, 250 Mon made one Shu. A then carpenter's daily allowance was about 500 Mon = two Shu, so one Bu was equal to about two days' allowance.
