版本 Hanpon - Paperbag

A wood-block printed book. Some books, called DOKUHON (reading book), focused on writing and were for the refined and elegant, while others EZOUSHI (picture book) were based on pictures and aimed at a more popular audience. At that time books carried a very high value and it was usual for people to pay a rental fee to the book lender, who would travel around the town on his business.
